Congratulations to Hastings High School for being named the recipient of the Pump & Pantry School Spirit Award for November! As the November winner, HHS will receive a $250 Pump & Pantry gas card to assist with team and fan travel!
This photo was submitted to show the school spirit of our students and community and it will be featured on the NSAA website and more! The photo was taken at a volleyball competition by the Hastings Tiger Ambush. This group was formed this year to promote student involvement and excitement at school competitions. “The Ambush has been a great addition to our activities this year. These students are extremely committed to showing their school spirit and supporting all of our activities. They’ve had a lot of fun coming up with creative ideas to generate attendance”, said Tracy Douglas, Hastings High School Activity Director. This particular event held personal meaning for Douglas as she is a two-time breast cancer survivor. The week this photo was taken, Hastings High School ran their 5th annual fundraiser for the Side-Out Foundation which benefits breast cancer awareness and research.
The School Spirit Award program is becoming a part of NSAA activities with more than sixty (60) NSAA member schools participating to date.
